Drag racing, car show, swap meet and event coverage by TEN publications

CORDOVA, Illinois (August 8, 2016) - The Ford vs. Mopar Series will invade Cordova International Raceway (CIR) next weekend to determine what manufacturer will be declared the champion of the inaugural event with TEN: The Enthusiast Network.

The one-day show will provide a platform for Ford and Mopar enthusiasts to go head-to-head in an epic battle on and off the drag strip. Participants can compete on the quarter-mile drag strip in heads-up racing where Fords and Mopars compete versus other Fords and Mopars respectively in various classes, and then the top qualifiers in each make compete against each other in the finals.

Enthusiasts can also display their Ford or Mopar in a judged car show for a chance to win best of class, specialty awards and gold cup awards. Entrant's in the car show will have an opportunity to be featured in one of TEN's multiple publications including: Hot Rod, Car Craft, Mopar Muscle, Muscle Car Review, Mustang Monthly, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, 5.0, Modified Mustangs & Fords, and Classic Truck. In addition, spectators will be treated to a Pro Show, vendor midway, swap meet and car corral.

"This is the first time we've offered an event where two manufacturers get to up against each other," stated Rod Wolter, CIR president. "I'm sure our racers will have some fun with this and we're excited to have another prestigious event hosted with TEN at our facility. It will be a great day of racing, looking at beautiful cars in the car show and spending the day with the family at CIR."

IRGSE announced this year and an expansion on their current partnership with TEN to include not only the Super Chevy Show but the newly created Ford vs. Mopar Series at IRGSE-owned facilities. The event at CIR marks the first one the duo is hosting together with Palm Beach International Raceway, Memphis International Raceway and Maryland International Raceway making their debuts in October.
