CHICAGO – The Illinois Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) applauds the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals baseball organizations for once again scheduling Law Enforcement Appreciation Nights at Wrigley Field and Busch Stadium to honor those who wear the badge.
“The World Champion Cubs, frequent champion Cardinals and the men and women in law enforcement are at the top of the order in Illinois,” said Illinois FOP State Lodge President Chris Southwood. “We appreciate what the two organizations are doing to recognize the people who go to bat for their communities every day of the year.”
The men and women in blue will join the boys in Cub blue during the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Night Wednesday, May 17 at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Ticket holders for the game between the Cubs and Cincinnati Reds will receive a Chicago Cubs Law Enforcement beanie cap, and each ticket purchased for that night includes a $3 donation to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. Ticket information is available at www.cubs.com/specialgroupnights.
The St. Louis Cardinals' Law Enforcement Appreciation Night will be held Wednesday, April 26 at 7:15 p.m. and feature the Cardinals versus the Toronto Blue Jays.
