Nov. 30, 2017 (Davenport, Iowa) – The family-friendly classic Polar Express 3D is back on the GIANT screen at the Putnam Museum & Science Center Dec. 8 to Jan. 2.

“Most people don’t know this, but the Putnam sells more tickets to the Polar Express 3D than any other venue in the country,” says Kim Findlay, president and CEO of the Putnam Museum & Science Center. “Watching the holiday classic is truly a family tradition in the Quad Cities.”

Polar Express 3D tells the story of a young boy who takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe. Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis (“Forrest Gump”; “Cast Away”) reunite for Polar Express 3D based on the beloved children's book by Chris Van Allsburg.

·      Tuesday, Dec. 19, 11:15 a.m.

·      Wednesday, Dec. 20, 11:15 a.m.

·      Thursday, Dec. 21, 3:00 p.m.

·      Friday, Dec. 22, 12:30 p.m.

·      Saturday, Dec. 23, 3:00 p.m.

·      Sunday, Dec. 24, 12:30 p.m. & 3:00 p.m.

·      Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1:45 p.m.

·      Thursday, Dec. 28, 12:30 p.m.

·      Saturday, Dec. 30, 3:00 p.m.

·      Sunday, Dec. 31, 12:30 p.m.

Adult tickets are $8.50 and youth tickets (ages 3-18) are $7.

In addition to viewing the film in the theater, Polar Express 3D will also be available during the Quad Cities’ family tradition, The Polar Express Pajama Parties.

Ten showings of The Polar Express 3D take place during four events:

Thursday, Dec. 14: 5 – 7 p.m. with the movie at 6 p.m.- SOLD OUT

Friday, Dec. 15: 3 – 9 p.m. with movies at 3:45 p.m., 6 p.m. (SOLD OUT) & 8:15 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 16: 3 – 9 p.m. with movies showing at 3:45 p.m. (SOLD OUT), 6 p.m. (SOLD OUT) & 8:15 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 17: 12 – 6:30 p.m. with movies at 12:30 p.m. (SOLD OUT), 3 p.m. (SOLD OUT) & 5:30 p.m.

Polar Express Pajama Party adult tickets are $10 and youth tickets (2-18) are $13. All activities, including the movie and general admission to the Putnam’s multiple exhibits, are included in the price.
