The Hush Sound Just Tuesday morning we were able to confirm an exciting show that you're not going to have to wait for. Like the Ingrid Michaelson show about a month ago, this one is a last-minute affair, but you have a week to prepare instead of 24 hours.

Atlantic Recording artists The Hush Sound, cover stars of past issues of AP and fresh off of a sold-out tour opening for Phantom Planet and Panic at the Disco, will be playing a show at The Capitol Theatre in downtown Davenport this coming Tuesday, September 16. The band will be back visiting us for the second time in the past three months after stopping in to record a session while they were out on the road with Panic. They're back to record again and to play a show before embarking on another national tour. It should be a unique opportunity to see a band on the fast track. The show will begin at 7 p.m., and cover will be $10 in advance and $12 at the door. If you're hoping to come, please e-mail daytrotter@gmail.com to reserve your tickets, as this one is likely to be a hot one.

Tonight, September 10, we have our good friend Pepi Ginsberg in town for a show at Huckleberry's, starting at 7 p.m.

Recording in the studio this week are Ghostfinger, Cameron McGill, The Punch Brothers, Pepi Ginsberg, Colourmusic, The Broken West, and Shugo Tokumaru.

We asked this of the subscribers of our newsletter yesterday: We're looking for members for our Daytrotter street team. If you'd like a Daytrotter T-shirt and would be willing to help promote the site around town and elsewhere - particularly we're looking for energetic students from area high schools, Augustana, St. Ambrose, and Black Hawk - please write the e-mail address above. See you on Daytrotter.com and at some shows. - Daytrotter
