DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 4, 2019) — The Putnam invites friends and neighbors to swill hooch, devour hors d’oeuvres, and Lindy Hop the night away during a ‘20s-themed Putnam Gala, Saturday, November 9, 6-10PM.
Decadence on Division Street: Putnam’s Prohibition Party is a festive fundraiser dedicated to preserving the Quad Cities’ past while funding the future of the Putnam’s education programming and preservation work.
“The Putnam Museum and Science Center is an iconic institution that has proudly served the Quad Cities for over 150 years,” Putnam President and CEO Rachael Mullins said. “This event celebrates the role of the Putnam in preserving the treasures and stories of our past and harnessing the power of science to challenge visitors and tens of thousands of area students to imagine a better world and their place in it.”
During the event, guests will enjoy live music, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments from the museum’s makeshift speakeasy. Visitors will take part in live and silent auctions, Fund-a-Need and more. Period attire is highly encouraged.
Tickets are $75 or $600 for a table of 8.
Guests may register at www.putnam.org/gala. For more information, contact Michele Darland at 563-336-7295 or mdarland@putnam.org.
