Moline Foundation Program Director Susan Zelnio recalls the difficulty in choosing awardees amongst a high number of applications. “This year, we had 47 students who completed the application. Due to the high quality of applicants, it was difficult to decide who should receive them,” Zelnio said. “Thanks to the efforts of our scholarship committees, we were able to choose 28 students to award. And we especially want to thank all of the community members who made the challenging decisions, and the students who took the time to fill out an application.”

President/CEO of the Moline Foundation Paul Plagenz says it is an honor for the foundation to help local donors give back to their community. “The Moline Foundation is honored to partner with generous local donors to administer their endowed scholarships and fulfill their philanthropic wishes. Congratulations to all the recipients and best wishes as you pursue your educational and career dreams.”

Students receiving scholarships will be recognized within local media and on the Moline Foundation’s social-media channels.
