DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 20, 2022) — Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities is one of more than 230 Habitat for Humanity affiliates awarded a grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation as part of its nationwide initiative to help low to moderate income families build and improve their homes across the US.
Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities received a $15,000 grant to help build a home in Davenport.
At least one in ten Iowa households spend over half of their income on housing and the number of families who are struggling to afford rent is on the rise. This year, Habitat Quad Cities will build five homes and renovate four homes in an effort to produce and preserve affordable housing units in the Quad Cities.
“We appreciate the support of Wells Fargo in helping us build thriving communities in the Quad Cities,” says Habitat’s Development Director Rebecca Ludin.
This funding is part of a $7.75 million donation to Habitat for Humanity International through the Wells Fargo Builds program to support the construction, renovation and repairing of more than 350 affordable homes across the US.
