MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (September 29, 2025) — Former Monmouth College men's basketball All-American, Will Carius, drained a turnaround three-pointer at the buzzer in double overtime on Thursday to send Slovakian team Patrioti Levice into Europe's Champions League for the first time ever.

Carius, a native of Bettendorf, Iowa and a star at Pleasant Valley High School, averaged 25.5 points per game for the Scots in the 2018-19 season and was off to an even better start at 27.2 ppg before an injury ended his 2019-20 season.

Carius finished Thursday's game with 33 points, eleven rebounds, and three steals as Levice won 100-98.

The regular season for the Basketball Champions League starts in early October. Carius and Levice will face teams from Greece, Latvia, and Hungary in Group F.
