DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 12, 2026) — Putnam Museum and Science Center will host an intimate, invitation-only evening celebrating the intersection of fashion, legacy, and philanthropy on Saturday, May 16, 6:30PM, in the museum’s grand lobby.

A Fashion Legacy: The Nolan Miller and Mark Zunino Story will offer guests a rare private preview experience showcasing iconic couture gowns worn by some of Hollywood’s most celebrated women. The evening will feature special guest René Horsch, former assistant to Emmy Award-winner, costume designer Nolan Miller, who will provide insider stories and personal insight into Miller’s legendary career and influence on fashion history.

“Great museums create moments people remember,” said Cindy Diehl Yang, CEO of the Putnam Museum and Science Center.

“This evening is designed to do exactly that, to transport our guests into a world of artistry, elegance, and cultural history while supporting the future of the Putnam.”

Guests will also enjoy an exclusive mini-exhibit featuring couture designs from renowned designer Mark Zunino, Miller’s longtime collaborator, and business partner. The event offers attendees a first look at an extraordinary collection that highlights the artistry, glamour, and enduring cultural impact of couture fashion.

The evening will include cocktails, conversation, and an immersive fashion experience designed for a select group of invited guests and supporters.

“Nolan Miller and Mark Zunino helped define glamour for generations. To bring pieces connected to that legacy to the Putnam reflects the kind of bold, unexpected cultural experiences we are committed to creating for our community,” said Michele Darland, Vice President of Development at the Putnam Museum and Science Center.
