SCOTT COUNTY, IOWA (September 28, 2026) — This is a follow-up informational release pertaining a fatality accident which occurred on 9-26 2026 which happened at the intersection of 210th Ave and 287th St.
The driver of the white 2009 Mazda has been identified as nineteen-year-old Jace Geissinger from McCausland.
Also occupying the Mazda was a passenger, eighteen-year-old Nolan Corwell from Davenport.
Both Jace and Nolan were pronounced dead on scene.
The driver of the 2011 Chevrolet Impala has been identified as a seventeen-year-old male from Clinton. Also occupying the Impala were three passengers, not two as initially reported.
The three passengers were identified as nineteen-year-old Sydney Davis from Clinton, seventeen-year-old male from Clinton, and a sixteen-year-old female from Clinton.
The case remains under investigation and no other information will be released at this time.

On Saturday September 26, 2026 at approximately 1135PM, Scott Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call in reference to a motor-vehicle accident in the area of Utica Ridge Rd/210th Ave and 287th Street in rural northern Scott County between the cities of McCausland and Long Grove.
The following agencies responded to the scene: Scott County Sheriff's Office, Scott County Conservation, Iowa State Patrol, Scott County MEDIC EMS, McCausland Fire Department, Princeton Fire Department, and MEDFORCE Aeromedical Transport. During the response the Scott County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Team was requested to assist along with the Scott County Sheriff's Office Reserves.
Initial investigation found a white 2009 Mazda 6I was traveling northbound on 210th Ave. A black 2011 Chevrolet Impala was traveling eastbound on 290th St.
These particular stretch of roadways are two-lane paved roadway in rural Scott County.
The east/west roadway of 290th St and 287th St both have stop signs for east/west traffic.
North and south 210th Ave have the right of way.
The eastbound Impala failed to obey the posted stop sign and struck the northbound white Mazda pushing both vehicles into the northeast corner of the intersection and into private property.
The Mazda was occupied by two male subjects who were both pronounced deceased on scene.
The Impala was occupied by three subjects who were all transported by Scott County MEDIC EMS in stable condition.
The case remains under investigation and no names will be released at this time.
