Local Theatre Auditions/Calls for Entry

AUDITIONS

June 3: Irving Berlin's White Christmas - Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse. Seeking performers for the stage adaptation of the iconic Bing Crosby musical. Rehearsals begin October 23, with the show running November 7 through December 28. Adult performers should prepare a verse and a chorus of a song from, or in the style of, the show; those interested in the role of Susan Waverly (seeking a girl under five feet tall to play nine years old) should bring in a verse and a chorus of two contrasting songs (one should be up-tempo). Bring your own sheet music in the correct key, and an accompanist will be provided; a cappella singing or recorded accompaniment will not be allowed. Be prepared to learn a brief dance combination and read if needed; . All roles in this professional production are paid. June 26: The Liuttle Mermaid Jr. - Ohnward Fine Arts Center. Seeking students ages 8 (or going into 2nd grade) through 18 for the one-act version of the stage musical adapted from Disney's Oscar-winning animated smash, running August 2 and 3. Rehearsals Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - noon. The cost for kids to participate is $50; for families with more than one child, the cost will be $50 for first child, $25 for second, and $15 for child number three and more. A limited number of no-cost scholarships are available. Ohnward Fine Arts Center (1215 East Platt Street, Maquoketa IA).
