Madam President, Mr Speaker, Lt Governor, legislative leaders and members, justices and judges, my fellow Iowans:

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 6, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a proclamation to ease restrictions on transportation of heating and motor fuels.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 2, 2022) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced she has appealed a district-court ruling issued yesterday that allows school districts to impose universal mask-mandates, despite a state law passed and signed into law in May 2021.

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 28, 2022) — Governor Kim Reynolds has signed proclamations relating to the weight limits and transportation of grain, fertilizer, manure, and motor fuels.

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 27, 2022) — Governor Kim Reynolds today announced her appointment of Tyler Buller as a judge of the Iowa Court of Appeals.

Buller, of Johnston, Iowa, currently serves as an Assistant Attorney General in the Iowa Department of Justice. Buller received his undergraduate degree from Drake University and his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 25, 2022) — Governor Kim Reynolds today announced the appointment of Todd Jacobus as the Executive Director of the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs and Commandant of the Iowa Veterans Home.

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 7, 2022) — Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) have announced $14.1 million in grant-funding for the following four projects through Destination Iowa. The $100 million program, announced in April, invests in transformational projects that will bolster the quality of life in Iowa communities and attract visitors and new residents.
