DECATUR, ILLINOIS (April 25, 2025) — On March 27, 2025, Decatur Trades and Labor Assembly announced the distribution of $12,000 to 21 recipients of the 2025 Michael E Shampine Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship was open to affiliate union members and their immediate family who plan to enroll in higher education, vocational trade schools, or apprentice programs.

Four-hundred delegates asserted their trust in the leadership of IL AFL-CIO President Tim Drea and Secretary-Treasurer Pat Devaney by voting to re-elect President Drea, Secretary-Treasurer Devaney, and the Executive Board to a four-year term.
