DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 23, 2023) — Buffalo Shores Campground has been closed since April 21 due to flooding and will remain closed for the Memorial Day weekend. We will be providing additional information concerning the status of Buffalo Shores Recreation area as the situation changes.

SCOTT COUNTY, IOWA (July 3, 2019) — The Scott County Conservation Board will be conducting a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house to celebrate the opening of the new Bald Eagle Loft Cabin at Scott County Park. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2PM, at the cabin, and the public and press are invited to attend. Please enter the park at the South Entrance on 270thStreet and follow the signs to the Bald Eagle Camping Area (see attached map).

SCOTT COUNTY (July 1, 2019) — The Scott County Conservation Board has approved a special deer hunt for archery hunters only from October 10, 2019 through January 10, 2020 at Scott County Park. This hunt is only for residents of Iowa. Applications are now available and need to be returned no later than Wednesday, July 31, by 4:30PM. SCOTT COUNTY, IOWA (June 12, 2019) — The Scott County Conservation Board will be hosting the QC Triathlon on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at West Lake Park. Roads going into and out of the park, including 110th Ave, will be closed at times to traffic during the race.

The race starts at 7AM and the park is normally clear by noon. Summit Campground (located in Gate #1) is used for parking participants and spectators, along with all other available parking.

SCOTT COUNTY (March 10, 2019) — The Scott County Conservation Board announces that the regular Board Meeting scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, has been cancelled. The Scott County Conservation Board announces the opening and hours for the Scott County Park Pool and West Lake Park Beach and Boathouse

SCOTT COUNTY PARK POOL:

·         The Scott County Park Pool will be open May 26th – 28th Memorial Day weekend only.

·         Starting Saturday, June 2nd, the pool will be open daily for the season.

·         Hours: Weekends and Holiday ~ 10:00am – 8:00pm; Weekdays: 12:00pm – 8:00pm

The Scott County Conservation Board is announcing that the Scott County Park equestrian trails will be closed to the general public Friday, August 4th through Sunday August 6th due to a special event being held for an off-road bike race.
