DES MOINES, IOWA (January 2, 2020) — Governor Kim Reynolds today announced that water-quality infrastructure projects in Davenport, DeSoto, Nora Springs, Osceola, Schleswig, and West Union have been awarded a total of $775,000 in grants. The funding is made available through the Wastewater and Drinking Water Financial Assistance Program, which was created as a part of Senate File 512, the first legislation signed into law by Gov Reynolds in January 2018.

Iowa joins with the National Coalition for the Homeless, the National Student Campaign against Hunger and Homelessness as well as more than 700 other organizations throughout the country in bringing awareness to the pressing issues of hunger and homelessness.

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 2, 2019) — The Iowa Finance Authority and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources recently announced that 41 Iowa communities have received low-interest water-quality loans totaling more than $123 million through the State Revolving Fund.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 15, 2019) — The Iowa Finance Authority today announced a new down-payment assistance-program for first-time and repeat home-buyers. The program offers a 0% loan for up to five-percent of the sale-price, or $5,000, whichever is less and repayable upon refinance or sale of the home.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 9, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds proclaimed April as Fair Housing Month in Iowa. The State joins the nation in celebrating the 51st anniversary of the Fair Housing Act.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 3, 2019) — The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors today awarded a total of more than $8.6 million in federal housing tax-credits to support the construction of 552 rental homes for families and seniors. The twelve projects are located in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Grimes, Harlan, Marshalltown, Marion, Norwalk, Pella, Red Oak, Spencer, Urbandale, and Waterloo.

DES MOINES, IOWA (March 6, 2019) — The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors today awarded a total of $5.2 million in federal HOME program funds to advance affordable housing opportunities for 858 income-eligible households. The funding is made available through the federal HOME program.
