DES MOINES, IOWA (June 26, 2020) — The Iowa Finance Authority is seeking nominations for the thirteenth annual HousingIowa Awards. The HousingIowa Awards recognize outstanding programs, projects and individuals in all sectors of Iowa’s housing industry for their leadership and innovation in advancing housing opportunities in Iowa. Award nominations are due July 31.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 2, 2020) — Governor Kim Reynolds today announced that water-quality infrastructure projects in Davenport, DeSoto, Nora Springs, Osceola, Schleswig, and West Union have been awarded a total of $775,000 in grants. The funding is made available through the Wastewater and Drinking Water Financial Assistance Program, which was created as a part of Senate File 512, the first legislation signed into law by Gov Reynolds in January 2018.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 18, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds recently proclaimed November 16-24 as Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week in Iowa, joined by members of the Iowa Council on Homelessness.

Iowa joins with the National Coalition for the Homeless, the National Student Campaign against Hunger and Homelessness as well as more than 700 other organizations throughout the country in bringing awareness to the pressing issues of hunger and homelessness.

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 2, 2019) — The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) announced that a total of 20 lenders have earned IFA’s 2020 Preferred Lender designation. IFA Preferred Lenders serve as ambassadors for Iowa home-buyers seeking assistance with the home-ownership-process and are expertly trained in IFA mortgage and down-payment assistance-programs.
