DES MOINES, IOWA (October 13, 2021) — The Iowa Finance Authority and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources today announced a water tower contest that challenges Iowa communities to show-off their hometown pride in a short video for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind water tower design by Iowa artist Laura Palmer as well as design installation.

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 29, 2021) — The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors recently awarded a total of more than $13.2 million in federal housing tax credits to support the construction of 699 rental homes for Iowans. The eighteen rental housing projects are located in Boone, Cedar Rapids, Clinton, Council Bluffs, DeWitt, Grinnell, Johnston, Marion, Marshalltown, Shenandoah and West Des Moines.

The HousingIowa Awards recognize outstanding programs, projects and individuals in all sectors of Iowa’s housing industry for their leadership and innovation in advancing housing opportunities in Iowa. DES MOINES, IOWA (April 9, 2020) — The Iowa Economic Development Authority recently announced that 500 small businesses have been awarded a total of more than $10 million in grants through the Iowa Small Business Relief Grant program. The program has a total of $24 million available to allocate, the additional grant recipients to be notified through additional rounds this week.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 2, 2020) — Governor Kim Reynolds today announced that water-quality infrastructure projects in Davenport, DeSoto, Nora Springs, Osceola, Schleswig, and West Union have been awarded a total of $775,000 in grants. The funding is made available through the Wastewater and Drinking Water Financial Assistance Program, which was created as a part of Senate File 512, the first legislation signed into law by Gov Reynolds in January 2018.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 18, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds recently proclaimed November 16-24 as Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week in Iowa, joined by members of the Iowa Council on Homelessness.

Iowa joins with the National Coalition for the Homeless, the National Student Campaign against Hunger and Homelessness as well as more than 700 other organizations throughout the country in bringing awareness to the pressing issues of hunger and homelessness.
