Teen Online Book Club Special Edition Hosted by the Davenport Public Library

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 6, 2021) — All teens (ages 11-19) are invited to join the Library's Teen Online Book Club! We are currently meeting using Zoom, but teens can also participate on their own without attending the zoom sessions. Once you register for the book club, you will receive e-mail updates from Miss Amber, monthly Zoom meeting details, and optional text-message reminders. Please join in anytime!

Bix 7 Hours at Davenport Public Library Main Street Branch

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 2, 2021) — Due to the Bix 7, the Davenport Public Library Main Street branch (321 Main St) will be open 1-5:30PM, Saturday, July 24.

The Fairmount and Eastern branches will be open regular business hours.

Homebrew School at the Davenport Public Library

Join us Saturday, July 11, 1PM, at Eastern (6000 Eastern Ave) for this unique class that will emphasize equipment and technique for the absolute beginner. If you can boil water, you can brew!

Outdoor Ukulele Concert at the Davenport Public Library

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 2, 2021) — What's better than sitting outside on a nice summer evening listening to ukulele music? Alan Morrison and Rebecca Casad from AM Guitar Works will perform outside of the Eastern (6000 Eastern Ave) on July 20, 6-8PM. Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, sunblock, and bug-spray, and enjoy some beautiful music.

Race Through Davenport's Past: History and Architecture Along the Bix 7 Route Presented by the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center

String Art at the Davenport Public Library

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 1, 2021) Join us for a night of fun creating string art! High Strung by 3M will demonstrate how to make string artwork on Thursday, July 8, 6PM, at Fairmount (3000 N Fairmount St). You will create a Mason Jar vase with artificial flowers. Space is limited to 15 adult participants.

Zoom Bingo Presented by the Davenport Public Library

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 30, 2021) — Calling all BINGO lovers! Join us for Zoom Bingo. Prizes will be awarded. Registration is required in order to get the login information. Your Bingo cards will be emailed to you on the day of the program. The event URL will be sent via a registration email. Households can use the same Zoom login.

Little Explorers Presented by the Davenport Public Library

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 29, 2021) — Kids can discover a different country each week through crafts, activities, and snacks! Program kits will be available starting on Monday of each week, and kids are welcome to join Miss Christie on Zoom every Thursday beginning July 1 through July 29, 1PM, for discussions and crafts demonstrations. This program is best suited to elementary-aged kids.
