This guided tour on Tuesday, June 29, 3PM, will include information about the restoration project and participants will be able to observe the plant and wildlife that is benefiting from the project.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 10, 2021) — Join Kevin Braafladt, the Army Sustainment Command Deputy Historian at the Rock Island Arsenal, and the Army Sustainment Command History Office on Wednesday, March 10, 6PM, in exploring the history of WWI through a discussion of the use and effects of chemical warfare. Delve deeper into First World War history by learning about Quad Cities and Rock Island Arsenal historical ties.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 4, 2021) — The Library is partnering with the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in association with the Smithsonian Institution for “Are You Smarter Than an 1850s 8th Grader?”

Join us Monday, June 14, 2PM, and learn more about one-room schoolhouses and early education, then we will put the audience to the test by taking the 8th-grade graduation exam from the 1850s. This program will be meeting virtually using Zoom.
