BETTENDORF, IOWA (May 12, 2026) — The Bettendorf Community School District is collaborating with the Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Department in providing FREE summer meals to kids — Monday through Friday, June 8 — July 31.

The meals are funded through the USDA Summer Nutrition Programs (SUN Programs) to provide free meals and snacks to children, regardless of income, when school is out.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (May 12, 2026) — We are pleased to announce that Dave Kietzman has been selected as the interim Associate Principal at Bettendorf Middle School, beginning in July 2026, pending Board approval.

Kietzman currently serves as Dean of Students at Bettendorf Middle School, where he has led efforts focused on student support, school climate, safety protocols, and behavioral interventions since 2023.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (January 21, 2026) — The Bettendorf Community School District is now accepting preschool applications for the 2026-2027 school year.

If your child will be four years old on or before September 15, 2026, he/she is eligible to participate.

Funding provided by the State of Iowa in support of the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program allows us to place children four years of age in local preschool programs.

The Bett STEAM Expo will take place on Saturday, March 7, 10AM-1PM, at Bettendorf Middle School.
