MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 13, 2019) — By meeting key standards of board-oversight, finances, results-reporting, and fundraising-appeals, the Child Abuse Council achieved accreditation by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance. This accreditation signifies that the Child Abuse Council is deserving of donor trust, as they are a well-run nonprofit organization.

St Ambrose University and Child Abuse Council Band Together to Keep Kids Safe

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (April 1, 2019) — In partnership with the Child Abuse Council, St Ambrose University will host a Pinwheel Garden dedication at the Health and Human Services Building at 3PM on Wednesday, April 3. Students from the Children's Campus at St Ambrose will be present to help plant the pinwheels.

Child Abuse Council Leads Local Efforts for Child Abuse Prevention Month in April

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 27, 2019) — April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which is dedicated to raising awareness of child abuse and highlighting ways to prevent it throughout the United States. Locally, the Child Abuse Council is hosting a number of activities to help the community come together and recognize that every child in the Quad Cities deserves a safe, healthy and happy childhood.

Child Abuse Council Conference Provides Professionals With Education to Keep Kids Safe

MOLINE, IL (February 12, 2019) — Child abuse happens in all communities, in all neighborhoods, and has the potential to occur in any household. Every 10 seconds, a child in the United States experiences abuse. Every day, between four and seven children will die as a result of abuse. Half of these children experience abuse before their fifth birthday, with the greatest risk occurring during the first year of life.
