Davenport Junior Theater
DJT is one of our most popular programs! Don't wait until January toregister or your class will be full! We have Dance and Theatre classes for kids ages 3 - 18. School Out Days
Need something FUN for your kids to do when school is not in session? We have school out days for all ages. Elementary age students can attend either the River's Edge or Roosevelt Community Center. Days will be filled with playing games, doing crafts,
taking field trips and spending time with friends. Intermediate age students will attend Collins House and days will be focused on exploring future career options and helping engage youth in volunteerism. Program will run from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Each student should bring a water bottle and sack lunch, wear socks and gym shoes, and bring warm clothes to skate! Afternoon snacks will be provided.

Wine 101
Learn the basics of wine at this fun tasting class. We will sample a dozen different styles of wines from sweet to dry while discussing wine fundamentals including terminology; choosing, storing, and serving a wine; food parings and more. Don't be intimidated. This class is all about learning to trust your own taste buds.
Class includes cheese, crackers and other palate cleansers so have a light dinner before class. You can do all this for $20.
Class will be held at Camp McClellan Cellars - 2302 E 11th Street, Davenport. You must be 21 years old to participate.
Snowshoe Fun
Come join a winter morning of walking in the snow in Duck Creek Park on January 26th. This park offers a great opportunity to explore along the recreation trail in winter. If there is no snow a nature walk will still take place. Bring a pair of binoculars or borrow one of ours to view some wildlife. Program has a $2 fee, but call Parks and Recreation, 328-7275, to reserve snowshoes. Meet at the shelter at the bottom of the hill. Wear shoes and avoid large/wide boots.
Walk with the Eagles
View the most majestic bird this winter, the Bald Eagle, on January 5th, 2013 at 9am. Meet at the Credit Island Lodge to start our adventure. Bring your binoculars or borrow one of ours to see the eagles and other wildlife. Bring the whole family for some winter fun! Adaptive and Inclusive Programs
The programs below provide recreation opportunities for person with special needs, including those with physical, mental or emotional disabilities. Adaptive and Inclusive programs are offered in structured, success-oriented environments in the areas of
sports and fitness, arts, independent living skills, social activities and special events.
Garden Basics:
Through this class you will learn all about the basic elements that plants need to survive, how to care for them, and help them grow better. We will also have a look at tools, techniques and exciting garden projects. Tues evenings 6pm. prepare to learn, grow and get a little dirty. Meet at the Vander Veer Enabling Garden. Program starts Tuesday January 8th from 6-7pm.
