Our winter session begins next week.
There is still time to sign up!  Don't delay!
We offer hundreds of programs to keep you and your family busy during these cold winter months. Stay active!  Do something!

We  are interviewing for certified and paid soccer coaches to  spearhead the inaugural Davenport Arrows Soccer Academy. The Soccer  Academy will be run by Davenport Parks and Recreation from March through  November with four eight-week sessions at either of our indoor and outdoor  facilities.

The  goal of the academy is simply to offer quality instruction to produce players who stand out and make a difference.  The focus will be on technical skills  development. If you are a certified coach, have playing credentials, or have the  passion and
drive to see soccer played at a very high level from your efforts,  we need your expertise!

Please  call Seve Ghose, Director of Parks and Recreation at 563-326-7817 or email sghose@ci.davenport.ia.us to learn more about the Davenport Arrows Soccer  Academy.

Wondering  what there is to do in the middle of winter? Play golf!

It's a Quad Cities tradition - the annual Wendy's Chili  Golf Open is sure to be a blast! There are two things for certain: "Anything can  happen in the middle of an Iowa winter" and the Wendy's Chili will be delicious!

Every golfer receives brightly colored golf balls, a package of tees, official Chili Golf mementos, and nine modified holes of winter golf.

Registration opens  up on January 1st. $15 per golfer. (You must register in person at the River's Edge in order to select a tee time.)
The River's Edge is located at 700 W River Drive in downtown Davenport. We are just west of Modern Woodmen Ballpark. Our parking lot is underneath the Centennial Bridge. River's Edge is the former Quad City Sports Center and is now owned and operated by the City of Davenport.
