Daniel Brasel is the son of Christopher and Beatriz Brasel of East Moline. He is a graduate of United High School .

Taylor Brien is the daughter of Barbara Mansholt of Bettendorf. She is a graduate of Bettendorf High School .

Elizabeth Manary is the daughter of Nancy Manary of Moline. She is a graduate of Moline High School and earned a straight A-average.

Kelsey McFarren is the daughter of Boyd and Sally McFarren of Fulton. She is a graduate of Fulton High School .

Mackenzie Oak is the daughter of Kevin and Cynthia Oak of Taylor Ridge. She is a graduate of Rockridge High School .

Candidates for the dean's list must complete at least 14 semester hours and post a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. All grades must be C or better, and no more than one C grade is allowed.

JACKSONVILLE, IL (07/03/2012)(readMedia)-- The following students of Illinois College have been recognized for their academic excellence on April 27 when liberal arts college held its annual Honors Day Celebration.

Hannah Oak a sophomore from Taylor Ridge was awarded the Edith Rammelkamp Elliott Memorial Award. This award is presented to selected students desiring to travel abroad. Oak is a graduate of Rockridge High School and the daughter of Kevin and Cynthia Oak of Taylor Ridge.

Dustin Secrist a junior from Hillsdale was awarded the John G. Anderson Award in Theatre. This award is presented to a student who demonstrates dedicated and consistent excellence in theatre productions. Secrist is a graduate of Riverdale High School and the son of Casey Secrist of Hillsdale.

Oak, is the daughter of Kevin and Cynthia Oak of Taylor Ridge. She is a graduate of Rockridge High School.

Hall directors, or HD's, serve the college in many capacities: implementing, developing and operating the Residential Life program within their building, and serving as role models for their staff and students. HD's are responsible for creating an environment that promotes positive academic and social experiences.

JACKSONVILLE, IL (12/21/2011)(readMedia)-- Dustin Secrist of Hillsdale has been chosen to serve on the residence life staff at Illinois College for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Secrist, is the son of Casey Secrist of Hillsdale. He is a graduate of Riverdale High School.

Resident assistants, or RAs serve the college in many capacities: as peer advisers for new residents, coordinators of residential life, and liasons between the students and administration. RAs are responsible for creating an environment that promotes positive academic and social experiences.

JACKSONVILLE, IL (12/13/2011)(readMedia)-- Taylor Brien, of Bettendorf, is one of 332 new fall semester students at Illinois College in Jacksonville. She is a graduate of Bettendorf High School.

Brien, the daughter of Barbara Mansholt of Bettendorf, joins a class defined by its strong academic ability and diversity. Full-time, first-year students total 284, with transfer students boosting the number to 332 new students on the hilltop campus. Total undergraduate fall semester enrollment at Illinois College has increased more than six percent from the last academic year.

The Illinois College Class of 2015 includes 17 valedictorians and five salutatorians. Ninety-one of the new students were members of their high school's National Honor Society, 64 were members of student council and 27 were elected officials of their high school class. Ten students entered Illinois College as Eagle Scouts or Gold Award winners.

The new Illinois College students display a wide range of interests - from dance and music to science and athletics. They have been awarded over $3.5 million in scholarships and, at the start of the academic year, had already collectively logged nearly 1,000 hours of community service.
