On Saturday morning 2nd,3rd and 4th Streets will be closed for the race. River Drive to the East and West will be open.  From the north come down Western or Gaines and park right in our Lots.

Wow, it's that time of the year again. The flowers are blooming, the trees are greening and the Farmers Outdoor Market is opening! You are invited to join us for the Quad Cities freshest and finest products available. Come with the whole family and enjoy fresh products, fresh air, food and fun. We have entertainment, a children's jungle gym and bounce house and over 250 stands to help you build a healthy happy family.

Here is an easy meal with all those great Farmers Market Vegetables. Toss your favorite variety (i.e.:  asparagus, baby carrots, Brussels sprouts and white potatoes) in a roaster pan,sprinkle with oil and salt and pepper to taste. Place in center of oven at 425 for 30-40 minutes and enjoy.  You can add a bratwurst, chicken or beef and have a whole meal.  Leftovers make a great soup just dice up smaller and add stock.

Going to the Bix 7 to cheer on your favorite runner, or running yourself? Be sure to stop at the market after the race.  We are open from 8am until 1pm so plenty of time to shop and enjoy the fresh air, food and fun.  We have plenty of great ideas for you and your family.  Make it a Market Day!

Fresh sliced tomatoes are nutritious and tasty. Add a vinaigrette as a salad. Buy extra and dice some, place in a freezer bag and freeze.  They make great soups, stews and salsa during the cold winter months..

Loads of fun and fresh fruits and vegetables at the market this week.  Whether you are going to an event, the ball park or just enjoying the day off, start out at the market.  Bring a friend and a basket and pick up everything you need for a picnic or a great meal at home.  Early birds can have breakfast (try the homemade donuts, breakfast pizza or bakery items) while you shop, and stay for lunch  too (great kabobs, ribeye sandwiches, brats and more)!

Market hours are 8am until 1pm on Saturdays, 3pm until 6pm on Tuesdays.


Parking will be available  across the street from the Market.


The Freight House parking lots can be accessed by taking second street to Western, or Ripley, or you may park directly North of the Freight House in the Community Health lot.
