$4,000 in FACE Community Grants Awarded

On Thursday afternoon, November 2nd, six organizations received 2017 FACE Community Impact grants at a presentation held at the Masonic Lodge.  This year seventeen applications for grants were received with a total of almost $11,600 being requested for various local projects and services.  FACE (Fulton’s community foundation and a component fund of the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend) was able to respond to $4,000 of those requests.  The recipients were as follows:

Culinary Walk

Fulton, IL, September 14, 2017: Fall is in the air and so is the sweet aroma of pear inspired dishes whipped up by some of the finest members of the Fulton Chamber of Commerce. Thursday, September 14th Fulton will host its annual culinary walk in Downtown Fulton. Free tastes of pear creations are available at Krumpets, Mor-Huiz Promotions/River Huis Traders Antiques and the Windmill Area Educators hosted at the Masonic Lodge.

Fulton Summer Nights in July

Fulton, IL, July 13, 2017: Fulton Summer Nights continues into July! Meet us at Den Besten Park in Fulton by the windmill from 6pm-8pm on Thursday, July 13th for this FREE event. This month’s Fulton Summer Nights celebration is hosted by the Schmaling Memorial Public Library and Fulton Presbyterian Church. There will be games for the kids, a cupcake walk, food by Boy Scouts, cotton candy, ice cream & music by the River City Municipal Band.
