This week marks the second anniversary of the passage of the Tax-Cuts and Jobs Act.

Thanks to theses historic tax-cuts and reforms, Americans have more money in their paychecks and pocketbooks. 

Individuals and families have more to spend or save for retirement.

I recently heard from an 81-year old Iowan who is battling cancer.

She told me that one test cost more than $12,700, almost an entire year’s income.

On top of that, her medication is more than $4,700 a month.

She’s on Humana and Medicare, but that’s not enough for her to afford her medical bills.

WASHINGTON DC (December 16, 2019) — Finance Committee Chairman Charles "Chuck" Grassley (R-IA) and Senate Appropriations Committee Vice Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT) Monday hailed the inclusion of their legislation to combat anticompetitive practices used by some brand-name pharmaceutical and biologic companies to block entry of lower-cost generic drugs in the domestic appropriations package filed today in the House.

WASHINGTON DC (December 12, 2019) — The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee today approved Senator Charles "Chuck" Grassley’s (R-IA) bipartisan legislation to reauthorize the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) as part of a broader package of child and family safety legislation, known as the CAPTA Reauthorization Act.
