WASHINGTON DC (December 17, 2019) — Prepared floor remarks by Senator Charles "Chuck" Grassley, Chairman, Senate Finance Committee:

This week marks the second anniversary of the passage of the Tax-Cuts and Jobs Act.

Thanks to theses historic tax-cuts and reforms, Americans have more money in their paychecks and pocketbooks.

Individuals and families have more to spend or save for retirement.

Small businesses and entrepreneurs have more to invest in their employees and business operations.

As a result, we have experienced the longest US economic expansion in history, higher wages, and historically low unemployment.

I am proud to say on this two-year anniversary that tax-reform has been a resounding success.
