DES MOINES, IOWA (June 10, 2019) — 200 Iowans will gather at Pro H2O in Des Moines this Thursday, June 13, to celebrate and honor those making a difference to clean and protect Iowa's waters.

DES MOINES, IOWA (March 28, 2019) — The Iowa Utilities Board (IUB) on Monday issued an order approving Alliant Energy's five-year energy efficiency plan with few modifications. The approval of Alliant's plan is the end result of Senate File 2311, legislation passed by the Iowa Legislature in 2018 that severely restricted what the IUB could require utilities to spend on programs to help customers reduce energy usage.

DES MOINES, IOWA (March 12, 2019) — On March 21, Iowans will take to the Capitol to share their stories, experiences, and knowledge with legislators. Environmental Lobby Day is a special opportunity to connect other environmentally-minded Iowans and organizations as we show lawmakers there is broad-based support for sustainable funding for programs and policies that support clean water, healthy land and air, and clean energy. 

IOWA CITY, IOWA (January 29, 2019) — On Thursday, January 31, at 11:15AM, a team of researchers from the Environmental Health Sciences Research Center (EHSRC) at the University of Iowa, the Iowa Policy Project (IPP), and the Iowa Environmental Council (IEC) will release a new report documenting the findings of numerous studies of health impacts on people living near wind turbines.
