DES MOINES, IOWA (April 29, 2021) This week, the city of Davenport hosted a session where they unveiled options being considered to ease or mitigate future flooding from the Mississippi River. The city has been considering flood-response options since the historical flooding in 2019.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 22, 2020) — The Iowa Environmental Council, the state’s largest non-profit environmental coalition, today released the publication of Iowa’s Road to 100% Renewable — an analysis of the renewable energy growth needed to reach 100% renewable electricity in Iowa by 2050.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 20, 2019) — The Iowa Department of Natural Resources released the draft 2018 303(d) Impaired Waters List for the state of Iowa on November 14. The list is comprised of lakes, wetlands, streams, and rivers that do not meet state water quality standards for designated uses.
