Davenport, IA- The Quad City Symphony Orchestra congratulates Bill Wundram as the winner of their Pursuit of the Podium contest. The Quad Cities community donated $16,249 for the opportunity to see Bill Wundram conduct "Sleigh Ride." Wundram will be joining Debby Boone and the Quad City Symphony Orchestra on stage at the iWireless Center for tomorrow night's Holiday Pops.

The four Pursuit of the Podium candidates raised a combined $28,924 in support of the artistic and educational mission of the Quad City Symphony Orchestra. The QCSO would like to thank all four candidates for their outstanding efforts in this pursuit, including Doug Cropper, CEO, Genesis Health System; Brian Burke, Financial Advisor, Park Avenue Securities; and former Iowa Senator Maggie Tinsman. The Quad City Symphony Orchestra and music lovers throughout our community applaud your efforts.

Halloween Themed Trivia Night -November 2nd, at 7:00 pm/doors open at 6:30.  Location: Knights of Columbus 1111 W 35th St, Davenport, IA 52806. This is regular trivia questions with a twist- the night is hosted by a Trivia Jockey who plays a song between questions. (To clarify, questions are not specifically Halloween OR music related) In addition, there is a prize for best costume and best themed table.

Relay For Life of Rock Island County presents our fall trivia night, Friday, November 22nd at The Rock Reception Hall, 302 First Street, Coal Valley, IL. Doors open at 5 p.m. Trivia starts at 6 p.m. A Soup Supper will be served beginning at 5 p.m. and is just $5 per person. Teams are still allowed to bring in snacks. All drinks, however, must be purchased at The Rock.

MOLINE, IL - If you consider yourself a military trivia buff and you know the origin of the 21-gun salute, then put together a team for the WQPT Military-Themed Trivia Night, Friday, Nov. 1, at Fargo Lounge, Avenue of the Cities, Moline, IL.

Doors open at 6 p.m, with the event kicking off at 7 p.m.

Teams may include up to eight people per table. Admission is $80 per team. All money raised will support WQPT's educational programming and outreach in Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place teams. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white and blue. Prizes will also be awarded for the best dressed table. In addition, a 50/50 drawing, raffles and silent auction will be held. A cash bar will be available.

Rebuilding Together Quad Cities, a volunteer-based home repair group responsible for more than 775 home repair projects since 1999, will host a trivia night fundraiser on Friday, May 3 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1111 W. 35th Street, Davenport, Iowa.

Doors open by 6:30 pm, with play starting at 7:00 pm. Cost to play is $10 per player.

Players can also increase their chances to win by purchasing mulligans and doublers, or taking advantage of the 'rent a geek" option in latter rounds of play. Teams may bring in their own snacks. All beverages must be purchased from the Knights of Columbus cash bar. Tables of eight are available for reservation by calling (563) 322-6534 or emailing reach-us@rebuildingingtogetherquadcities.org.

Proceeds from the fundraiser, which include 50/50 and basket auctions, will help the organization continue its work by supporting its monthly operational costs. Rebuilding Together Quad Cities, once known as Hearts and Hammers, has provided home repairs at no cost to qualifying elderly, low-income and disabled homeowners since 1999. As a 501c3 organization, donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Rebuilding Together volunteer teams from Home Depot, St. Paul Lutheran Church, John Deere and Rockwell Automated will be working at seven workday sites this spring in Davenport, Moline and Rock Island, with projects scheduled for April 26, April 27 and May 10.
