DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 11, 2019) — The Midwest League announced that two Quad Cities River Bandits pitchers have been added to the Western Division all-star roster on Tuesday. Right-handed pitchers Brett Daniels and Humberto Castellanos will take the roster spots that opened when the Bandits Austin Hansen and Wisconsin’s Aaron Ashby were promoted to the Advanced-A level. The two additions will join Jeremy Pena, Austin Dennis, Cesar Salazar, Trey Dawson, and Matt Ruppenthal at the Midwest Leagu

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 11, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits, Class-A Affiliate of the Houston Astros, have partnered with Century Electric and Solar of Eldridge, Iowa, to install a small solar farm on the roof of Modern Woodmen Park. The 58-panel array, paid for without any city or state money, is located on the roof of the suite level on the third-base side. It uses green energy to offset the annual electric-usage of the new state-of-the-art LED outfield-lights.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 10, 2019) — Quad Cities River Bandits pitcher Cody Deason has been named the Midwest League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 3-June 9. He is the third River Bandits pitcher to earn a weekly award from the league, joining Shawn Dubin and Luis Garcia. Garcia was honored by the league last week.

PEORIA, ILLINOIS (June 6, 2019) — It is not often that a baseball team registers a walk-off win in their opponents’ ballpark, but that is exactly what the Quad Cities River Bandits did to the Peoria Chiefs on Thursday night at Dozer Park. Serving as the home-team because the games were moved due to flooding in Davenport, David Hensley snapped a scoreless-tie with an RBI double into the gap in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead the River Bandits to a 1-0 victory.
