Rock Island County Forest Preserve District Receives Grant, Moves to Establish Seventh Public-Use Park

ILLINOIS CITY, ILLINOIS (November 17, 2021) — The Rock Island County Forest Preserve District Commission received a $1,033,200 grant from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation to support acquisition of approximately 172 acres of land in East Moline, Illinois.

Musical Duo Kickin’ Back to Perform at Illiniwek Forest Preserve

HAMPTON, Ill. (June 22, 2017) – Musical duo Kickin’ Back will play a free, live show at the Illiniwek Forest Preserve campground pavilion on Saturday, July 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is open to the public.
