DES MOINES, IOWA (May 20, 2022) — Iowa’s seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate fell to 3.0 percent in April — down from 3.3 percent in March and from 4.5 percent one year ago. The US April unemployment rate remained at 3.6 percent.

The labor force participation rate increased to 67.2 percent in March from 67 percent in February.

DES MOINES, IOWA (March 10, 2022) — Iowa job seekers soon will gain access to a valuable professional-training program designed to prepare participants for high-growth technology jobs in under six months. Starting Friday, March 11, IowaWORKS offices throughout the state will be offering access to Grow with Google training certificates at no cost to Iowans through Google’s Career Certificates Scholarship Program.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (February 7, 2022) — Iowa Veterans and their spouses will now have walk-in access to professional career-planning right here in central Iowa.

Beginning February 8, a career-planner from Home Base Iowa will be available at Camp Dodge military base on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 8AM-4:30PM.
