BETTENDORF, IOWA (March 24, 2020) — Rivermont Collegiate Preschool Teacher, Cassaundra Dunbridge has been awarded the National Geographic Educator Certification. The certification is not easy to achieve; less than 5000 people worldwide per seasonal cohort are accepted into the program. She applied for the summer cohort this past

December but was surprised to be invited to the winter cohort.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (February 27, 2020) — Rowers of all ages (beginning in Kindergarten) and all skill levels, from Des Moines to Chicago, will compete in the Quad Cities Erg Showdown. Rowers will compete in the Jr 2k, Jr Lightweight, Jr Novice 2k, several 4x500 meter races, and much more. It promises to be an exciting day.

The event is free and open to the public. Snacks will be available for purchase.

First race, 8:30 a.m.  Last race, 2:30 p.m.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (December 20, 2019) — Rivermont Collegiate, a PS-12th grade-independent school, founded in 1884, adds a second campus in Clinton, Iowa. The new campus, which will be called Rivermont Collegiate Pangaea Campus, boasts the best STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) facilities in the state of Iowa. Ashford University invested more than thirty million dollars into the campus before liquidating the asset several years ago.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (September 11, 2019) — Rivermont Collegiate is proud to announce that students Jozef Porubcin and Anna Senjem are Semifinalists in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically-talented high-school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $31 million that will be offered next spring.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (August 21, 2019) — It was an ambitious three-year fundraising campaign and an extremely aggressive six-month construction schedule, but the new STEAM center is ready to open, just in time for the 2019-20 school year. The 3-story, 30,000 plus square foot facility is equipped with state-of-the-art makerspace, science labs, band, and math classrooms.

 

BETTENDORF, IOWA (April 26, 2019) — It is with great excitement that we announce Rivermont senior Lauren Schroeder has committed to play Division III Volleyball at Luther College this fall. Schroeder signed her contract with her family, coach, and classmates looking on at a signing ceremony this morning.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (February 13, 2019) — Fourteen high school students from Rivermont Collegiate represent the only group from the Midwest to attend the Knovva Academy Model G20 Youth Leadership Summit in Beijing, February 16-24. Knovva Academy reached out to us specifically due to our rankings. The majority of students received 1/2 to full scholarships to attend. The topic is “Smart Cities & Global Innovation.”
