Augustana College’s Engineering Program Earns ABET Accreditation

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 25, 2026) — Augustana College’s Bachelor of Science degree program in Engineering has been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, a non-profit, ISO 9001-certified quality-assurance organization. Through the accreditation of academic programs, recognition of credentials, and assessment of student learning, ABET supports excellence in education worldwide. The accreditation is effective October 1, 2024.

Augustana College Welcomes Class of 2030

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 24, 2026) — On August 31, 765 new students from 28 states and 36 countries will begin their Augustana College journey. The incoming class includes 678 first-year students, 82 transfer students, and a total of five non-degree and exchange students, with 25 languages represented and a range of experiences and perspectives.

Augustana received more than 8,600 applications for the incoming class.

Trinity College to Hold First Commencement as Augustana Affiliate

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 17, 2026) — Trinity College of Nursing and Health Sciences will hold its first commencement and pinning ceremony as an affiliate of Augustana College on August 26, recognizing 25 graduates earning the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Augustana College's Spring Semester Dean's List

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 1, 2026) — Augustana College announced more than 1,100 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2025-2026 spring semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

Nathan Acosta, a Biology major of Moline, Illinois, was named to Augustana College's Dean's List.

Alumnus Ken Anderson ('71), a 1981 NFL MVP, will deliver the commencement address at the 2PM ceremony at the Vibrant Arena at the Mark, 1201 River Dr, Moline, Illinois.

Augustana College Recognized as Top College for Innovation

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 14, 2026) — Augustana College received the 2026 Top Colleges for Innovation Award from Insight into Academia magazine, recognizing the college’s work to expand access, strengthen student outcomes and put learning to work in ways that meet students’ needs.

Holly Mendelson, co-owner and publisher of Insight into Academia Magazine, said institutions recognized by the award demonstrate adaptability and leadership.
