College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Postpones Fall Sports Competitions Due to Concerns Over COVID-19 pandemic

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 27, 2020) — The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced this morning to postpone all fall sports competition and championships. The decision, which came as the result of a unanimous vote from the CCIW Council of Presidents (COP), affects football, women’s volleyball, men and women’s soccer, men and women’s cross-country, women’s golf, and women’s tennis.

Solar Project Spurred by Students Set to Start in June

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (April 22, 2020) — On the eve of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, Augustana College President Steven Bahls is announcing early plans to place solar panels on four campus buildings.

Once fully-installed, solar power will provide about 8% of the college’s annual electric energy-needs.

Augustana’s Only Graduate Program Receives Accreditation

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (April 17, 2020) — Augustana College received welcome news after a four-year accreditation process and after an 11-month and $3.5-million construction project on Brodahl Hall.

College professors and students were thrilled to earn accreditation for a new graduate program in speech-language pathology by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
