ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 17, 2021) — The Augustana College Department of Music presents “Christmas at Augustana,” December 4 and 5, 2021, in Centennial Hall.

EAST MOLINE, ILLINOIS (September 22, 2021) — East Moline Correctional Center is offering its first four-year Bachelor of Arts program for individuals in custody in more than twenty years. The Augustana Prison Education Partnership (APEP) launched August 31 with a cohort of 10 students.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 23, 2021) — Augustana College will add varsity e-sports to its sports line-up. Launching in the fall of 2022, e-sports is the twenty-ninth varsity sport and the first all-gender varsity athletic team at Augustana.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 20, 2021) — Augustana College is the first in the nation to partner with Degree Insurance and offer “income insurance” for new students who transfer to Augustana. This effort involves Degree Insurance's flagship insurance product, American Dream Insurance (ADI).

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 6, 2021)  Augustana College announced more than 1,100 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2020-21 spring semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (June 25, 2021) — After conducting a national search, Augustana College has hired Emma Adebayo to lead its admissions department after the departure of long-time director, Karen Dahlstrom.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (June 24, 2021) — An anonymous donor recently contributed to help pay the tuition and fees of 26 Augustana College students.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (June 17, 2021) For over a decade, students sitting for the Pre-SAT, high-school sophomores and juniors, have reported an increased interest in the field of Engineering. In some specialties, a 67% increase was seen from 2012 to 2018.

Augustana has answered the call from students across the globe and will launch an engineering program beginning this fall.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (June 17, 2021) — In its 162 years, Augustana has faced tough times, but the college recognizes that 17-year-olds looking at colleges have never lived through an experience like the pandemic. This year, college leaders will open the application process on July 1. 

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (June 11, 2021) — Augustana College has joined more than 340 colleges and universities in the COVID-19 College Challenge, a White House initiative to get 70% of the adult population vaccinated by July 4.
