Patilyn Lowery of Bettendorf Named to University of Evansville Dean's List

EVANSVILLE, IN (05/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Patilyn Lowery of Bettendorf, IA, has achieved a place on the University of Evansville Dean's List for academic achievements during the Spring Semester 2013. Lowery is majoring in Art.

To make the Dean's List, a student at UE must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Patilyn Lowery of Bettendorf Participates in University of Evansville Freshman Service Project

EVANSVILLE, IN (08/23/2012)(readMedia)-- The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Patilyn Lowery of Bettendorf, IA, participated in the Freshman Service Project on Monday, August 20.

The project sent new UE students to 20 locations throughout Evansville, Indiana - including parks, community centers, and other nonprofit organizations - to perform tasks ranging from painting to cleaning to landscaping.

The Freshman Service Project is part of Welcome Week, a program designed to help incoming students transition into college life before classes begin.

"The goal of the Freshman Service Project is to help new students such as Patilyn Lowery get acquainted with the community they'll call home during their college years," said Geoff Edwards, director of UE's Center for Student Engagement and coordinator of the Freshman Service Project. "Last year, UE students contributed more than 19,000 hours of community service, and we hope the Freshman Service Project inspires many students to continue serving the Evansville community."

Andrea Solomonson Graduates from University of Evansville

EVANSVILLE, IN (12/13/2011)(readMedia)-- The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Andrea Solomonson of Orion, IL, will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Solomonson, who majored in Management and Marketing, will graduate during UE's Winter Commencement ceremony, held December 14 in the Student Fitness Center. The University will award 80 degrees to 76 graduates during the ceremony.

"For more than 150 years, the University of Evansville has provided life-transforming educational experiences, preparing students for lives of personal and professional service and leadership," said UE President Thomas A. Kazee. "At Winter Commencement, we're delighted to celebrate the success of students such as Andrea Solomonson, and we look forward to watching this year's graduates accomplish amazing things as they engage the world as informed, ethical, and productive citizens."
