The news around the world in the past few years has become increasingly troubling. Nobody feels this unease more than the local Muslim Community. Attached please find a flier for an Open House to be held at the Muslim Community of the Quad Cities (Bettendorf Mosque).
Please feel welcome to come and meet with local Muslim leaders and community members, experience the rich diversity of this community, take a tour, and visit cultural, art, and religious displays and booths representing Muslims around the world. Members of the local Muslim community will be on hand to answer questions.
What: Open House at the Bettendorf Mosque (Bridging Faiths in our Community)
Where: Bettendorf Mosque; 2115 Kimberly Road; Bettendorf Iowa (near Hobby Lobby)
When: Saturday, May 2nd from 2:00-5:00 PM
Who: Quad Citians of all faiths or of no particular faith
Brief welcome by Anne Wachal, executive director of Churches United, and local mayors, and a young QC Muslim, starting at 3:00 PM
Light cultural finger foods will be served.
