ITHACA, NY (05/04/2015)(readMedia)-- Caitlin Walton, a junior music education major in the School of Music at Ithaca College, has been selected to serve on the 2016 Senior Class Gift Committee.

By contributing to the Ithaca College Annual Fund through the Senior Class Gift Campaign, seniors continue the college's tradition of providing a foundation for a lifetime of learning that fosters intellect, creativity and character in an active, student-centered learning community.

For over 30 years graduates have left their legacy at Ithaca College by participating in one of the oldest traditions on South Hill: the Senior Class Gift Campaign. Each year, members of the graduating class join together in honor of their graduation to help support, enrich and enhance the IC experience for current and future students.

ITHACA, NY (05/04/2015)(readMedia)-- Caitlin Walton, a Davenport native and junior music education major in the School of Music at Ithaca College, performed at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall with the Ithaca College Choir, Wind Ensemble and Contemporary Ensemble.

Titled "MusIC of Our Time," the program presented a blend of contemporary and new works.

Since the early 1970s, the School of Music has sponsored nine concerts at Lincoln Center, showcasing the high level of innovation and artistry among the school's faculty and students in one of the most prestigious venues in New York City.

The performance was made possible through a gift from Charles Hack '69 and Angella Hearn.

ITHACA, NY (02/23/2015)(readMedia)-- The Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs at Ithaca College awarded Caitlin Walton, a junior music education major in the School of Music at Ithaca College, the Peggy Ryan Williams Award for Academic and Community Leadership.

The Peggy R. Williams Award for Academic and Community Leadership recognizes students who excel academically, perform service to the College community and nation, and represent an exemplary level of accomplishment.

Nominees for the award must be a junior or senior and maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, be in good judicial standing and made a minimum of three contributions in academic, community service or extracurricular activities.
