USF launched its first doctoral program--Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)--in fall 2009 in order to prepare nurses to provide the most advanced level of nursing care. The DNP was a natural outgrowth of USF's highly acclaimed nursing program and was the fourth such program in Illinois.

Students who have attained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher at the end of the semester in which he or she has taken at least 12 credit hours are named to the dean's honor list.
