CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (February 10, 2023) — Coe College has received a $15,350 Institutionalizing Community-Based Pedagogies grant from the Associated Colleges of the Midwest. The grant will support the creation of a new Prison Learning Initiative (PLI) at Coe which will provide a range of high-impact experiences for students and community members to learn about and become involved with the criminal-legal system in Iowa and the Midwest.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (January 20, 2023) — Coe College has named 119 of its highest-performing students to the Dean's List for the Fall 2022 term. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the term and rank in the top 10% of the student body. Area students named to the Dean's List include:

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (October 5, 2022) — A large contingent of the Coe College and Corridor communities were on hand the evening of Thursday, September 29, to dedicate the David and Janice McInally Center for Health and Society (CHS). The dedication event was held inside the CHS on Coe’s campus.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (September 6, 2022) — Coe College continues to climb the ranks of liberal arts colleges which contribute to the public good, coming in at N° 78 in Washington Monthly’s annual liberal arts colleges ranking. This is an increase of ten positions compared to last year, and a jump of 49 positions over the last two years.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (August 22, 2022) — Coe College is the only Iowa college or university to be nationally recognized by The Princeton Review in three crucial higher-education categories — Best Career Services, Most Accessible Professors, and Best Alumni Network. Coe is also the highest-ranked school for internships in the state.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (August 15, 2022) Coe College has announced the addition of Donald Jaamal as the college’s Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Title IX Coordinator. Jaamal will serve as Coe’s lead diversity officer. He was appointed by Coe College President David Hayes (’93) after an extensive national search and will be a member of Coe’s senior staff.
