CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (September 28, 2023) — Students at Coe College will receive advanced insights into the day-to-day demands of their chosen industry with the implementation of an industry-leading experiential-learning platform as part of the course curriculum. The learning platform, Riipen, will integrate real-world, employer-designed projects into existing courses to equip students with skills, applicable experiences, and professional connections to support their future careers.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (August 17, 2023) — On Saturday, August 19, Coe College will welcome one of the largest and most geographically-diverse incoming classes in its 173-year history. With 436 new students indicating they are planning to enroll, the incoming class projects to be the third-largest class to ever enroll at the college.

Engaging in an internship is an integral part of the educational approach at Coe — students gain valuable insights and connections as well as a head start on their résumé while exploring different career paths.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (April 25, 2023) — Mallory Day of Rock Island, Illinois, was one of sixty presenters during the 2023 Student Research and Discovery Symposium at Coe College.

Every year, students from all majors discuss their original work, which includes performances of compositions and creative writings, art displays, research posters, and oral presentations about academic work.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (March 30, 2023) — Coe College will host a re-entry simulation on Wednesday, April 12, 6-8PM, in Eby Fieldhouse on the Coe campus. This interactive simulation is free and open to the public, and provides a glimpse into the challenges those returning from incarceration face. A previous reentry simulation occurred last year in April.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (March 14, 2023) — Coe College will host an 

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (February 10, 2023) — Coe College has received a $15,350 Institutionalizing Community-Based Pedagogies grant from the Associated Colleges of the Midwest. The grant will support the creation of a new Prison Learning Initiative (PLI) at Coe which will provide a range of high-impact experiences for students and community members to learn about and become involved with the criminal-legal system in Iowa and the Midwest.
