Bix Beiderbecke Museum Announces Museum Relocation Timeline

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 15, 2025) — The Bix Museum is excited to announce their timeline for moving to their new home located in the City Square Building at 112 W 2nd St, Davenport, Iowa, and plans to make their organization a long-term fixture of downtown Davenport. The Bix Museum will be closing their doors in the Redstone building June 6th to begin deconstructing the exhibits.

"Bix: 'Ain't None of Them Play Like Him Yet'" Film Screening

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 23, 2022) — The Bix Beiderbecke Museum and World Archives and Bix Jazz Society are pleased to present a public screening of the newly restored documentary BIX: "ain't none of them play like him yet".

Film Screens: 1PM Sunday, July 31

Tickets: $5. Tickets will be available at the doors the day of the screening. Members of the Bix Museum or Bix Society can get a free ticket at the doors the day of.

Bix Beiderbecke Museum Acquires Don Murray’s Saxophone

DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 5, 2020) — The Bix Beiderbecke Museum and World Archives is pleased to announce the acquisition of a new artifact.

One of the saxophones owned by jazz musician and best friend of Bix Beiderbecke, Don Murray, has been donated to the Bix Museum.
