WASHINGTON DC (February 25, 2019) — There is both strong interest and strong skepticism in pilots and demonstration programs for the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program. The Government Accountability Office (GAO), Social Security Administration (SSA), and the research community generally agree the demonstration process has suffered from substandard design and execution.
