The 23rd annual Quad City Regional Auto Show features announced

The nation’s largest auto show producer, Motor Trend Auto Shows, announces the 23rd annual Quad City Regional Auto Show, coming to the Davenport RiverCenter Friday through Sunday, Feb. 10-12. The event, which showcases 2017 and some 2018 vehicles, is a joint effort of auto dealers of 17 counties in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

Spirit Award for 2013 presented by Zimmerman Honda to Davenport North High School

(Moline) - Mark Zimmerman of Zimmerman Honda presented a check for $2,500 to the Davenport North High School Athletic Department as this year's winner of the Zimmerman Honda Spirit Award.  Because area schools are excited about football and their local teams, the Spirit Award lets students show school spirit!

A contest where students and friends were encouraged to vote for their school was held online through Facebook in conjunction with WQAD TV.com.  The school with the most votes becomes the winner.

Dave Shovlain, athletic director at Davenport North High School, was on location at Zimmerman Honda to receive the check along with several senior students.  "We're so proud of our kids and they really deserve this for all their efforts."

Zimmerman is currently celebrating their first year at their new location 70th Street and John Deere Road in Moline.  Plus this year is a celebration for Zimmerman Honda being a Honda dealer for 40 years.

Mr. Calvin N. Hileman joins Raufeisen Development Company.

Todd Raufeisen of Davenport, Iowa introduced Calvin N. Hileman today as the newest member of the development staff of Raufeisen Development Company. Mr. Hileman will be responsible for leasing and management. Cal comes to Raufeisen Development from Mercy Medical Centers and Clinics where he was in charge of the real estate department based in Cedar Rapids, IA.

He was formerly with Cullinan Properties in Peoria, IL as Vice President of Leasing. He directed the internal and third party leasing activities for Cullinan's retail properties in Illinois, Texas, and Missouri.

He brings more than 30 years of retail property management and leasing experience and the leasing of more than 1.5 million total square feet of GLA.

Cal was Regional Leasing Director for CBL Properties directing the leasing activities of twelve enclosed malls, fourteen strip centers and more than 11 million square feet of GLA.

As Executive Vice President for Equity Growth Group, he was responsible for management of the property management and leasing company.

As Sr. Vice President for General Growth /Center Companies he was responsible for the leasing and remerchandising of 16 enclosed malls in the East and Midwest.

Cal began his leasing career at The Taubman Company and the leasing of centers including Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg, IL, Columbus City Center in Columbus, OH, The Mall at Short Hills, Short Hills, NJ, Beverly Center, Beverly Hills, CA and Stamford Town Center, Stamford, CT. Major accounts included Melville Corp., Hallmark Cards, Crate & Barrel, Ralph Lauren Polo and Hartmarx.

Raufeisen Development has major mixed use land developments in Iowa, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin.

AUTO SHOW TOPS $205,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS $31,000 in Scholarship Money Given at Premier Night at the Iowa Illinois Regional Auto Show

(Davenport) The Community Foundation of the Great River Bend is pleased to announce the 2012 recipients of the Iowa/Illinois Regional Auto Show Scholarships:

Gracie Deery: Notre Dame High School, Recommended by Deery Brothers, Burlington. Hannah was awarded $4,000

Kyle Hoffman: Orion High School, Recommended by Lujack's Northpark Auto Plaza. Kyle was awarded $2,000

Sienna Klauer: Davenport Central High School, Recommended by Reynolds Motors. Sienna was awarded $4,000

Paige Klinck: Galesburg High School, Recommended by Galesburg Nissan. Paige was awarded $2,000

Benjamin Kuhn: Galena High School, Benjamin was awarded $3,000

Jacklyn Nation: Mercer County High School, Recommended by Eriksen Chevrolet-Buick.  Jacklyn was awarded $4,000

Elizabeth Penrose: Bettendorf High School, Recommended by Lujack's Northpark Auto Plaza. Elizabeth was awarded $2,000

Amy Rogers: United Township High School, Recommended by Zimmerman Honda. Amy was awarded $3,000

Kylie Sterk: Clinton High School, Recommended by McEleney Chevrolet-Buick-GMC-Toyota. Kylie was awarded $3,000

Christine Walsh: Davenport North High School, Recommended by Eriksen Chevrolet-Buick. Christine was awarded $4,000

The Auto Show has given to date over $205,000 in scholarships to 71 area students. This year given to 10 students, the most in the history of the Auto Show. Proceeds from the Auto Show support the Scholarship Fund. A special presentation of $10,000 was made by the Quad City Times to be deposited to the scholarship fund from sales efforts of the Auto Show Special Supplement. Sponsors of the Premier include : IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, AutoTrader.com, Automated Data Processing, S & S Automotive, The Greater Quad City Auto Auction and Enterprise Car Rental.

AUTO SHOW TOPS $150,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS

$27,500 in Scholarship Money Given at Premier Night of the Iowa-Illinois Regional Auto Show.

(Davenport) The Community Foundation of the Great River Bend is pleased to announce the 2010 recipients of the Iowa-Illinois Regional Auto Show Scholarships:

Francesca Byczynski - Rock Island High School - Rock Island; The letter of recommendation was from Lujack Northpark Auto Plaza, Davenport. Francesca was awarded $5000.

Celine Hartman - Rock Falls High School - Rock Falls; the letter of recommendation was from Dixon Ford Lincoln Mercury Volkswagen Mazda, Dixon, Illinois. Celine was awarded $3,500.

Mitchel Heiar - Sherrard High School - Sherrard; the letter of recommendation was from Eriksen Chevrolet-Buick Inc, Milan. Mitchel was awarded $3,500.

Owen Pomije - Rock Island High School - Rock Island; the letter of recommendation was from Lujack Northpark Auto Plaza, Davenport.  Owen was awarded $5,000.

Mathew Purl - Assumption High School - Davenport; the letter of recommendation was from Reynolds Motor Co., East Moline. Mathew was awarded $3,500.

Benjamin Schwind - Central High School - Davenport; the letter of recommendation was from Lujack Northpark Auto Plaza, Davenport.  Benjamin was awarded $3,500.

Kelsey Swan - Rockridge High School - Taylor Ridge; the letter of recommendation was from Sexton Ford, Moline.  Kelsey was awarded $3,500.

The Auto Show has given to date over $150,000 in scholarships to 55 area students. Proceeds from the Auto Show support the Scholarship Fund. A special presentation of $15,000 was made by the Quad City Times to be deposited to the scholarship fund from sales efforts of the Auto Show Special Supplement.
