JOHNSTON, IOWA (March 24, 2025) — Today marks the beginning of Iowa Ag Week, and Iowa corn farmers are excited to highlight the important role that agriculture plays in helping our state thrive. This annual celebration shines a spotlight on the contributions of farmers and the agricultural community that support our state’s economy and heritage.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (March 17, 2025) — Each year, Iowa Corn offers Future of Ag Scholarships to young aspiring corn growers and supporters from across the state. Eighteen $1,000 scholarships were awarded in 2025 with two scholarships going to each of the nine corn districts. The scholarships are split evenly, with nine going to high school seniors entering their first year of college, and nine going to upperclassmen or who are enrolled in a graduate program.

Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) delegates advocated in support of policies and actions on behalf of Iowa farmer members to implement at the federal level with the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA).

JOHNSTON, IOWA (January 10, 2025) — The Department of Treasury released more details today about a tax credit, known as 45Z, that is designed to help the biofuel industry make inroads into the aviation sector.

While today’s news included more information, corn-grower leaders said they still need better clarity about the specific environmental practices that will be required for accessing the credit.
