City of Davenport will observe the New Years holiday on Monday, January 1st

All City of Davenport & Public Works offices will be closed. Police Department front desk and records office will be closed. Library Main, Fairmount and Eastern branches will be closed on Monday, January 1st and Tuesday, January 2nd. River’s Edge facility will be closed on Sunday, December 31st and Monday, January 1st

Vander Veer Conservatory will be closed. Adler Theatre box office will be closed. CitiBus service will not be provided on January 1st

TRAFFIC ALERT: Eastern Avenue Closure - 12/21 - 12/23

Southbound Eastern Ave between Pleasant and Locust will be closed for installation of a new power pole beginning Thursday, December 21st. Work should be complete on Saturday, December 23rd. A detour will be posted for southbound traffic.

DAVENPORT HOLIDAY CLOSING – CHRISTMAS EVE & CHRISTMAS DAY 2017

City of Davenport will observe Christmas Eve & Christmas Day as holidays on Monday, December 25th and Tuesday, December 26th. All City of Davenport offices & the Public Works Center will be closed. Police Department front desk and records office will be closed. Library Main, Fairmount and Eastern branches will be closed. River’s Edge facility will be closed on Sunday, December 24th & Monday, December 25th and open normal business hours (7a-7p) on Tuesday, December 26th.

River’s Edge facility will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd.

No Sticker Yard Waste Extended One Week, and Other Garbage, Yard and Recycling Information and Reminders - Davenport

Garbage: All solid waste collection will be one day late for all residents with Thursday and Friday collection dates due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Thursday’s collection will be on Friday, November 24th and Friday’s collection will be on Saturday, November 25th.

Residents may also place up to three extra bags of garbage outside of their cart without an extra garbage sticker on their collection day between Friday, November 24th and Wednesday, November 29th.

Government Bridge Closure 11/9 & 11/10

The Rock Island Arsenal/Government Bridge will be closed beginning 6am, Thursday, November 9th through 6pm, Friday, November 10th for maintenance. This closure will be for the roadway only; pedestrian, rail, and navigation traffic will not be affected by the closure.

The City of Davenport will observe Veterans Day as a holiday on Friday, November 10th.  There are no changes to the solid waste schedule. Pickups will occur on regularly scheduled days.

Halloween Parade & Trick-or-Treat

Bring the kiddos to downtown Davenport this Saturday, October 28th 2pm for the annual City of Davenport Halloween parade. The 55 entry parade kicks off from 3rd & Brady Streets, rain or shine! Please see the attached maps for road closure information and info on where to park.

Trick-or-treat in Davenport is Tuesday, October 31st 5:30p-7:30p. Please use extra caution on your commute home and don't forget to turn on (or off) your front porch light!
