Please join us for "An Evening with Area Artists," the first annual fundraiser of artsBASICS, to be held October 15, 2014 at the Figge Art Museum, Davenport, IA. artsBASICS is a volunteer group of advocates that helps provide equal access to the arts for all students in the Davenport, IA school district.
Your hosts for the evening will be Dan Portes and Judy Shawver and emcees will be Nathan Porteshawver, Dan Sheridan, and Tom Vaccaro.
Find out how the creative process works by observing a variety of local artists, each in the midst of creating a work of art before your eyes, in what we call "The Quick Draw Event." Works of art will be completed during the event and the highest silent bidder will be able to take home a one-of-a-kind piece of art work at the end of the evening. Mingle with renowned artists of the Quad Cities in the elegant setting of the Figge Art Museum.
Enjoy appetizers while you take in the creative process. There will be additional silent auction items, a 50/50 raffle, and an opportunity to win a gift certificate worth up to $100 or a $1,500 piece of jewellery from a local jeweller. Cash bar will be provided. Doors open at 5:00 pm with events commencing at 5:30 pm.
