Going to the cineplex or staying in and streaming this weekend? Every Thursday morning at 8:15 a.m. you can listen to Mike Schulz dish on recent movie releases & talk smack about Hollywood celebs on Planet 93.9 FM with the fabulous Dave & Darren in the Morning team of Dave Levora and Darren Pitra. The morning crew previews upcoming releases, too.

Or you can check the Reader Web site and listen to their latest conversation by the warm glow of your electronic device. Never miss a pithy comment from these three scintillating pundits again.

Thursday, May 21: Discussion of Obsession, Is God Is, In the Grey, and Marty, Life Is Short, and previews of Passenger, I Love Boosters, and The Mandalorian & Grogu, a movie for which even Dave - a Star Wars fan like few others - can't work up much advance enthusiasm.

Thursday, May 14: Discussion of The Sheep Detectives, Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard & Soft - The Tour Live, and Mortal Kombat II; previews of Obsession, Is God Is, and In the Grey; and an advance peek at upcoming events at The Last Picture House, leading to the revelation that Dave has never seen Dazed & Confused. Oh, the shame.

Thursday, May 7: Discussion of The Devil Wears Prada 2, Hokum, Deep Water, and Animal Farm, and previews of Mortal Kombat II, The Sheep Detectives, and Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard & Soft - The Tour Live, the latter promising state-of-the-art-filmmaking by one James Cameron. Billie's not gonna be blue with pointy ears and a tail, is she?

Thursday, April 30: Discussion of Michael, I Swear, and Over Your Dead Body; previews of The Devil Wears Prada 2, Animal Farm, Deep Water, and Hokum; and Dave threatening to throw a fit if the Hutts don't speak properly in The Mandalorian & Grogu, which opens in three weeks. This may not be the last time we hear of this.

Thursday, April 23: Previews of Michael, Mother Mary, Over Your Dead Body, and I Swear, and discussion of Lee Cronin's The Mummy, Normal, Lorne, and Busboys, the latter easily Mike's least-favorite movie of the decade. If "movie" is even the right word for it.

Thursday, April 16: Discussion of Faces of Death, Mr. Nobody Against Putin, and You, Me & Tuscany; previews of Lee Cronin's The Mummy, Normal, Lorne, and Busboys; and a plug for the 35mm Kung Fu Festival at the Last Picture House. Nine films in two days! Or, in rom-com terms, Yu, Lee & Gluttony!

Thursday, April 9: Discussion of The Drama and Pizza Movie, previews of You, Me & Tuscany, Beast, and Faces of Death, and Dave makes an argument for an Oscar for Best Trailer, which he believes The Drama would win in a walk. Hard to argue.

Thursday, April 2: After a week off and a segment momentarily moved from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m., it's both lightning-round and beat-the-clock time: The boys have just under 12 minutes to discuss Project Hail Mary, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, The Pout-Pout Fish, They Will Kill You, Forbidden Fruits, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and also share their excitement about new weekend release The Drama. Spoiler alert: They do it! With seconds to spare!

Thursday, March 19: Discussion of Reminders of Him and Undertone, previews of Project Hail Mary, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, and The Pout-Pout Fish, and a recap of Sunday's Academy Awards, a pretty-great telecast with major highs (Conan! The In Memoriam!) and lows (were Downey and Evans forced into that bit at gunpoint?). No segment next week ... we'll catch y'all again in April!

Thursday, March 12: Discussion of The Bride!, Hoppers, and at least one of the Oscar-nominated shorts, previews of Reminders of Him and Undertone, and Mike's predictions for this Sunday's Academy Awards. Dave is predicting ... a return to glamour! For the 23rd year in a row.

Thursday, March 5: Discussion of Scream VII, Pillion, and EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concerts, previews of Hoppers, The Bride!, Protector, and the Oscar-nominated shorts at the Last Picture House, and an even longer, more shameless plug for Mike's run in God of Carnage at Moline's Playcrafters Barn Theatre. Dave saw it, and has a few things to say -- blessedly, all good things.

Thursday, February 26: Discussion of How to Make a Killing and I Can Only Imagine 2, previews of Scream 7, Pillion, and EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, and a shameless plug for Mike's new Playcrafters Barn Theatre comedy God of Carnage, running February 27 through March 8. Well, look at that. Another shameless plug.

Thursday, February 19: Previews of How to Make a Killing, Midwinter Break, Psycho Killer, and I Can Only Imagine 2, and discussion of "Wuthering Heights," "Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die," "Crime 101," "Cold Storage," "The Moment," and GOAT. Six reviews. You know what that means, right?! (Cue the guys' favorite Lightning Round sound effect.)

Thursday, February 12: Discussion of Dracula, The Strangers: Chapter 3, The Alabama Solution, and The Wrecking Crew, and previews of "Wuthering Heights," GOAT, Crime 101, Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die, The Moment, and the 2016 Emilia Clarke rom-com Me Before You, playing this weekend at the Voy 61 Drive In Theatre. Yes: The drive-in is open. In February. Blame global warming.

Thursday, February 5: Discussion of Send Help, Iron Lung, and Arco, previews of The Strangers: Chapter 3, Dracula, and Solo Mio, and a question of whether NBA star and upcoming GOAT cast member Stephen Curry is using a fake voice. Not in the animated film. In life.

Thursday, January 29: Discussion of Mercy, The Lost Bus, Come See Me in the Good Light, and The Ugly Stepsister, and previews of Send Help, Iron Lung, Arco, and Shelter. The latter stars Jason Statham as a retired assassin, leading the guys to wonder: Why are all screen assassins retired? Where are the movies about the fresh-young-upstart, job-shadowing assassins?

Thursday, January 22: Discussion of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, No Other Choice, and The Rip' previews of Mercy and Return to Silent Hill; and much commentary on this morning's announcement of Academy Awards nominations mere minutes after they happened. Sinners with 16, baby!

Thursday, January 15: Discussion of Primate, Is This Thing On?, and Father Mother Sister Brother, and previews of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, No Other Choice, and Dead Man's Wire, the latter of which sounds uncannily similar to Dog Day Afternoon. It's even got Al Pacino in it!

Thursday, January 8: After several weeks away, it's lightning-round time again! Discussion of Avatar: Fire & Ash, The Housemaid, Marty Supreme, Song Song Blue, Anaconda, The Secret Agent, and We Bury the Dead; previews of Greenland 2: Migration, Primate, Is This Thing On?, I Was a Stranger, and the 40th-anniversary re-release of Labrinth; and Dave making a powerful argument for seeing the documentary I'm Chevey Chase and You're Not. It's good to be back!

Thursday, December 18: Discussion of Ella McCay, Silent Night, Deadly Night, and On. What. Fun., previews of Avatar: Fire & Ash, The Housemaid, David, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, Anaconda, Marty Supreme, and Song Sung Blue, and a heartbroken appreciation of Rob Reiner. With Christmas and New Year's Day falling on Thursdays this year, no new segment 'til January 8 ... at which point you can definitely expect a lightning round. Happy Holidays and New Year to you all!

Thursday, December 11: Discussion of Hamnet, Jay Kelly, Merrily We Roll Along, Fackham Hall, and Five Nights at Freddy's 2, previews of Ella McCay and (maybe?) Silent Night, Deadly Night, and thoughts on what Netflix's potential acquisition of Warner Bros. might mean for the motion-picture industry. The outlook ain't rosy.

Thursday, December 4: After a week off, a lightning-round discussion of Wicked: For Good, Rental Family, Train Dreams, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, Sentimental Value, Eternity, and Zootopia, and previews of Five Nights at Freddy's 2, Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, Hamnet, Merrily We Roll Along, and Fackham Hall ... the latter, because lof the FCC, a title the boys pronounce ve-e-e-ery carefully.

Thursday, November 20: Discussion of The Running Man, Now You See Me: Now You Don't, Keeper, Nouvelle Vague, Being Eddie, and The Perfect Neighbor, and previews of Wicked: For Good, Rental Family, and Sisu: Road to Revenge. No segment next week, as the guys' audio would be useless given the turkey and stuffing crammed into their mouths. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Thursday, November 13: Discussion of Predator: Badlands, Frankenstein, Nuremberg, Die My Love, Christy, and It Was Just an Accident, and previews of The Running Man, Keeper, and Now You See Me: Now You Don't, the latter a continuation of that popular magician series that asks the question, "How on earth did they do that?!" Ummm ... through CGI and editing, maybe?

Thursday, November 6: Discussion of Bugonia, If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, Hedda, Ballad of a Small Player, and KPop Demon Hunters, and previews of Predator: Badlands, Christy, Die My Love, Nuremberg, Sarah's Oil, It Was Just an Accident, Frankenstein, Train Dreams, Kren Kingsbury's The Christmas Ring ... . And those aren't even the only films opening this weekend!

Thursday, October 30: Prior to the previews of Bugonia, Stitch Head, and Anniversary, discussion of A House of Dynamite, Regretting You, Shellby Oaks, Blue Moon, and Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowehere, the latter the first title in years that all three guys caught on opening weekend. A bio-pic about a musician they all grew up with and admire -- the boys have got some thoughts!

Thursday, October 23: Discussion of Black Phone 2, Good Fortune, After the Hunt, and Mr. Scorsese; previews of Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, Regretting You, Shelby Oaks, Blue Moon, and A House of Dynamite; and thoughts on nixed Star Wars offerings by Steven Soderbergh and David Fincher, both of which sound more interesting than at least 75-percent of the Star Wars movies we actually got.
