Coldplay fans should seek out the latest issue of Britain's New Music Express magazine and quickly surf to the band's Web site. The May 10 issue of NME features a free bonus seven-inch single of "Violet Hill" with a non-LP B side, "A Spell a Rebel Yell," and details can be found online about securing tickets to the band's free show at the Madison Square Garden on June 23.
Glen Campbell is back on the Capitol Records imprint with his new Meet Glen Campbell album in August. Recently performing at the Coachella Festival, the legendary singer/songwriter performed a number of selections from the all-covers album, with the 72-year old putting his stamp on modern hits by Green Day, U2, and the Foo Fighters, as well as classics from the Velvet Underground and John Lennon. Highlights include two Tom Petty songs - "Angel Dream" and "Walls (Circus)" - Jackson Browne's "These Days," and the Replacements' "Sadly Beautiful." The guest list is just as intriguing, with Jason Faulkner of Jellyfish and Robin Zander of Cheap Trick.
