Daytrotter Perhaps there's been this empty feeling in your stomachs lately as the Daytrotter concert schedule has been slightly bare for the greater part of August. It's all about to change as the shows are going to start up again and hit like a blizzard, like two blizzards back-to-back.

For all of you who made it out to The Redstone Room last Thursday for the Tapes 'n Tapes and Driver of the Year show, you were served a good dose. We've got Misra Records' Southeast Engine from Athens, Ohio, playing at Huckleberry's Pizza Parlor on August 30, our official back-to-work/back-to-school show. We realize that big, bad one-hit wonders Eve 6 are playing at Augustana College that night, but we'll wrap our show before they get to playing "Inside Out" and "Here's to the Night." If you show an Eve 6 ticket at the show, we'll give you $2 off the $5 cover. How's that for a bargain?

Following that, we've got a September 9 show with James Jackson Toth and The Dutchess & the Duke, back again. James plays some outlaw country/folk music and The Dutchess & the Duke are peddlers of the sweetest pop music. They can tell a mean joke as well.

In our studio next week, we'll have Koufax, Aesop Rock (including the original DJ for The Geto Boys!!), Lissie, Paper Route, Delta Spirit, Death Vessel, TK Webb, J. Roddy, and Aimee Mann in for Daytrotter.com sessions. Should be a fun fall. Come along for the ride.
